Top Gear hosts Clarkson and co aren't always hugely complimentary about our continental cousins so exactly how they'll feel about being dubbed into German, French, Spanish and Italian – not to mention Polish, Hungarian and Turkish – it's hard to say.

They should be pleased – it's a sign of the success of the BBC motoring show, which has been sold to over 200 territories around the globe by the Corporation's commercial arm BBC Worldwide and is reckoned by Guinness World Records to be the most widely watched factual television programme in the world.
