Just a month after joining the forthcoming miniseries, Australian actress Judy Davis has dropped out citing personal matters, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Oscar-nominated actress, who currently resides Down Under, had signed up to play Margot - a British national and widow of a notorious terrorist who was originally down to appear across multiple episodes. Casting for her replacement has begun immediately as filming for the 12-part series continues in London.
24: Live Another Day sees Kiefer Sutherland reprise his role as agent Jack Bauer, reuniting with former co-stars Kim Raver, William Devane and Mary Lynn Rajskub with the action picking up four years on.
24 originally ran for eight seasons between 2001 and 2010, earning multiple Emmy and Golden Globe Awards.The new miniseries will follow the traditional format of the show, using real-time action for each episode with the returning four cast members joined by series newcomers Tate Donovan, Yvonne Strahovski, Benjamin Bratt and Michael Wincott.
Live Another Day is scheduled for a two-hour American premiere on 5 May on Fox with plans to broadcast in the UK on Sky1 shortly after. Watch the first trailer here.
