Last year's Christmas treat is repeated this evening as the festive classic comes back to life. The charming and heartwarming tale is updated when a new little boy stumbles upon the snowman's hat and scarf in his new house and decides to build a snowman - and a snowdog. When the pair come to life they all embark on an adventure but, as before, their friendship is short lived. If you don't melt along with these frosty friends, you've got an icicle for a heart.

You'd think the residents of Midsomer might be able to ease off the bloodshed during the season of goodwill, wouldn't you?

It's the final of the second series of Last Tango in Halifax tonight and tensions, as always, are running high. Gillian and Caroline emerge from a foggy, alcohol-fueled night with a dark secret to deal with. If you missed the one-off return of Roy, Moss and Jen earlier this year, you're in for a treat. The final visit to Reynholm Industries' dingy basement is being repeated alongside a new documentary about the comedy plus a run of the fans' favourite and the writers' favourite episodes.
