Rough Copy have been voted out of the X Factor, just missing out on a place in this year's final.

The boy band, mentored by Gary Barlow, took on Louis Walsh's Luke Friend in the sing-off, singing Boyz II Men's End of the Road.

The acts' mentors made short work of their decision.

"But of course for me the act I'm sending through to the final is Rough Copy," said Gary Barlow.

Louis Walsh added, "It's very simple, I'm sending through Luke Friend."

Speaking to Luke, Nicole Scherzinger said, "I'm sure you're going to have a great career after this but the act I'm sending through is Rough Copy."

Another vote for Rough Copy would have kept them in the competition, but Sharon Osbourne refused to name them and sent the vote to deadlock. Once down to the public, the vote saw Louis's act Luke through to the final.

And that's it – Sam Bailey, Luke Friend and Nicholas McDonald are this year's finalists and will compete to win the X Factor 2013 next weekend in front of a 10,000 strong audience at Wembley Arena.
