Those without a Tardis better set their alarm: tickets for 3D screenings of The Day Of The Doctor will go on sale this Friday at 9am.
As announced today, 216 VUE, Cineworld, Odeon, BFI and Picturehouse cinemas across London, Birmingham, Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Cardiff and Edinburgh will screen the highly anticipated 75-minute special on Saturday 23 November.
As well as in the UK, the BBC has confirmed that screenings are set to take place simultaneously in over 400 cinemas across eight countries, in parallel with the special being globally simulcast on television at the same time as on BBC1. As of yet, however, an air time has not been confirmed.
Countries involved include Germany, Russia, America, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Approximately 30 cinemas in Germany will screen the special and up to 50 will debut it in Russia.
Fittingly, the special episode will then cross time zones to New Zealand and Australia where fans will have a choice of 106 cinemas across both countries to view it in 3D on the big screen on 24 November following the simulcast TV broadcast earlier in the morning.
