Michelle Dockery has scooped Best Global Actress in a TV series for her role as Lady Mary in ITV’s big costume drama Downton Abbey.
The 10th Huading Awards, dubbed the ‘Chinese Oscars’, was held in Macau where Dockery personally collected the prize.
Between a man dying in her bed, her husband being killed on Christmas day and her first child, Dockery’s character Lady Mary has had quite a time of it on Downton.
But Mary’s pain is Dockery's gain, as she adds the gong to a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe nomination.
Other familiar names on the winenrs' list included former Friends star Matthew Perry, who picked up the matching Best Global Actor in a TV series, Nicholas Cage, who was named Best Global Actor in Motion Pictures, and Nicole Kidman who was honoured as Best Global Film Actress.
