Hit US series Homeland has pulled out of filming in Israel, as the civil war in Syria continues to escalate.
Filming on the show's third series has almost finished, but planned shoots in Israel have been cancelled as a reaction to the current situation in the Middle East and concerns over security in neighbouring Syria. The scenes will now be shot in Morocco instead.
With talk of a possible US air strike, and ongoing discussions about how to handle Syria's reported use of chemical weapons, the decision doesn't come as a surprise.
Parts of Homeland's first and second series were filmed in Israel. In fact, scenes from the beginning of series two set in Beirut where actually filmed in the country.
Homeland creators Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff are currently working on a new series called Tyrant, which will also be filmed in Morocco.
Homeland series three will air in the UK on Channel 4 later this year
