Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe says his dream TV job would be to take over from Jeremy Paxman on University Challenge.
Asked at today’s launch of Sky’s upcoming dramas which job he would choose from the current television schedules, Radcliffe replied “I would take Paxman’s job on Uni challenge.”
Faced with the same question, actress Anna Friel, who stars in chilling Sky Living drama The Psychopath Next Door (where she plays the psychopath), opted for swapping sexes to become David Attenborough.
Law & Order UK star Jamie Bamber – the lead in Sky 1's fireman drama The Smoke – said he would have liked “Damien’s role in Homeland", while History Boys star Dominic Cooper would like to have been “a Mad Men man”.
Radcliffe added that he hopes to one day grow up to look like Mad Men actor John Hamm, who plays his older self in the forthcoming Sky series A Young Doctor’s Notebook & Other Stories.
The darkly comic drama is set during the Russian Revolution and is inspired by the autobiographical short stories of the writer and playwright Mikhail Bulgakov.
“I am very flattered John Hamm is playing the older me. I live in hope I will turn into John Hamm,” joked Radcliffe.
