Yesterday we had a confirmed launch date and a first trailer for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing and this morning the show's publicity machine has roared fully into life with the announcement of its first celebrity contestant, Vanessa Feltz.
Strictly alumnus and It Takes Two host Zoe Ball broke the news as she sat in for Chris Evans on his BBC Radio 2 show.
Feltz presents her own early morning Radio 2 programme, as well as a mid-morning talk show on BBC London 94.9, so is in a prime position to be able to ramp up the excitement ahead of the new series of Strictly. If there's one thing we know she can do, it's talk.
Feltz is no stranger to reality TV either, having been a memorably off-the-wall housemate in the 2001 series of Celebrity Big Brother, taken part in Celebrity Fit Cub in 2004 and Celebrity Wife Swap in 2007, and returned for Ultimate Big Brother in 2010. She's also familiar with long-standing Strictly pro dancer Anton Du Beke, having been a member of his team in BBC1 game show Hole in the Wall.
Feltz will join 14 other celebrities – seven men and seven women – whose identities are yet to be revealed.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC1 at 6:50pm on Staurday 7 September
