Strictly Come Dancing is going for gold with a glitzy new logo ahead of a series that will feature the biggest line-up of celebrity and pro dancers ever on the show.
The new logo, a glamorous switch-up from last year’s purple, heralds a new run of BBC1's entertainment behemoth which will see 15, rather than the usual 14, couples competing.
That means an uneven mix of genders, with eight female and seven male celebrities ready to don the tight sparkles, as well as a bumper crop of professional partners, including five new signings.
SCD regulars Brendan Cole, Anton Du Beke, James Jordan, Robin Windsor, Artem Chigvintsev, Pasha Kovalev, Ola Jordan, Kristina Rhianoff, Natalie Lowe and Karen Hauer will be joined by newbies:
*Anya Garnis (Broadway star)
*Janette Manrara (Burn the Floor and So You Think You Can Dance regular)
*Iveta Lukosiute (now permanent after stepping in to cover an injured Aliona Vilani in last year's series)
*Aljaz Skorjanec (from Slovenia's Dancing with the Stars)
*Kevin Clifton (star of stage show Dirty Dancing and engaged to fellow SCD professional Karen Hauer)
Rumours are rife as to who the celebrity contestants will be, with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Abbey Clancy and Teri Hatcher’s names all floating around. Even X Factor’s Louis Walsh joked he was going to star, before quickly denying.
