Woman’s Hour is to join Men’s Hour in a second collaboration between the Radio 4 and the Radio 5 Live shows.

Woman’s Hour presenter Jane Garvey is returning from a brief secondment at the end of August to team up with Men’s Hour presenter Tim Samuels in a second collaboration between the shows.

The slot will explore the experience and politics of online dating and will be broadcast on both networks at the same time.

This follows last year’s landmark inaugural collaboration in which both programme’s share a programme discussing the secrets that people keep from their partners, friends and colleagues.

The BBC has also announced that another 5 Live alumnus Victoria Derbyshire will be one of the presenters replacing Garvey who is presenting Radio 4’s Summer Nights series.

Also sharing the presenting duties is novelist Kate Moss and Kirstie Allsopp.
