Citizen Kane - 9.40am, BBC2

The dramatic tour-de-force that is Orson Welles produced, co-wrote, directed and starred in. The movie follows a group of reporters who try to discover the truth about newspaper tycoon Charles Foster Kane's life following his death.

The Jewel of the Nile - 12.40pm, Film4

Action adventure sequel to Romancing the Stone starring Michael Douglas, Kathleen Douglas and Danny DeVito. Novelist Joan Wilder (Kathleen Douglas) gets bored of her relaxed lifestyle so sets off to write the biography of an Arab sheik, only to get kidknapped in the process... 

The Spiderwick Chronicles - 2.45pm, Film4

Freddie Highmore and Sarah Bolger star in this fantasy action adventure that draws them into a magical world after they move into their aunt's rundown house. 

My Best Friend's Wedding - 5.00pm, Gold

Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney and Cameron Diaz star in this romantic comedy, following Julianne Potter (Roberts) as she tries to sabotage her best friend's nuptuals after revealing she's in love with him.

Jaws - 5.30pm, Syfy

A great white shark causes death and havoc on the picturesque beach of Amity Island. Steven Spielberg's Oscar-winning adventure thriller stars Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss. 

How to Train Your Dragon - 7.30pm, BBC3

Animated adventure starring Jay Baruchel as teenage boy Hiccup who belongs to a Viking tribe that sees dragons as their greatest enemies. This hatred poses problems for Hiccup as he's a secret dragon whisperer who saves, rather than kills, a wounded Night Fury beast nicknamed Toothless.
