Shane Meadows Stone Roses documentary to be released in June
Fans will have the chance to put questions to the director at the film's Manchester premiere in May
This is England director Shane Meadows’ documentary about veteran Manchester band The Stone Roses will open in British cinemas on Wednesday 5 June following a premiere in the group’s hometown on Thursday 30 May.
Both the Roses and Meadows will make a public appearance at the premiere of The Stone Roses: Made of Stone, which will be satellite-linked to 100 cinemas as part of nationwide preview screenings of the film.
Fans attending the premiere or watching at preview screenings elsewhere in the country will be able to put questions to Meadows via Twitter. Tickets to both will be made available via the Made of Stone Facebook page on Wednesday 17 April at 9:30am.
Tickets will also be given to selected fans who attended last year’s Warrington Parr Hall and Heaton Park gigs, and who consequently appear in the film. Images of these chosen few will be released in the coming weeks through Facebook or the film’s official Twitter feed.

The hugely-acclaimed band, perhaps best known for the hit singles Fools Gold and I Wanna Be Adored, reformed in 2012 after 16 years apart.
The Stone Roses: Made of Stone features a host of never-before-seen material and charts the band's journey from getting back together to playing in front of a rapturous 220,000-strong audience at Heaton Park in Manchester last summer.
