Bake-Off fever hits Albert Square in the coming weeks but Ian Beale’s (Adam Woodyatt) competitive spirit results in him wearing his efforts. 

In scenes to be shown on Friday 29 March, Ian will be seen vying with Jean (Gillian Wright) for the job of baking Sharon’s (Letitia Dean) wedding cake. 

But when Sharon brings forward the judging time, Ian completely forgets about the lunch date he’s made with Denise (Diane Parish). Rushing over to the Vic following the tasting session, Ian immediately apologises before asking Denise to taste his creation. But after taking a slice, Denise shoves the cake in his face before walking out. 

So, is this the end of their budding romance?
