Silk star Maxine Peake and Inbetweener Blake Harrison are to co-headline a new British psychological thriller called Keeping Rosy.

Peake will star in Keeping Rosy as an advertising executive named Charlotte, whose life is thrown into turmoil after a series of unfortunate events. Sadly, there's no word yet on what Harrison will be doing in the film.

Keeping Rosy will be the feature film debut of commercial director Steve Reeves, who has overseen more than 300 TV commercials during the course of his career.

Its screenplay has been penned by another film first-timer with strong advertising credentials: commercials copywriter Mike Oughton.

Principal photography on the film got under way earlier today in London and production will continue through March and April, according to Screen Daily.

“Effin freezing down here,” Oughton tweeted earlier today from the film’s set. “It's snowing! Gonna right f*** up our continuity.”

Blake Harrison was last seen on TV in BBC3’s suicide-based comedy Way to Go, while Peake most recently appeared in the 2012 Brit film Private Peaceful.

Keeping Rosy is tentatively scheduled for release in 2014.
