The UK release date of J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness has been moved forward by a week.
Instead of 17 May, the film - which stars Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Pine, Zoe Salanda, Karl Urban, Alice Eve and Simon Pegg - will now be released on 9 May, seven days before it hits US cinemas.
British star of the film Simon Pegg took to twitter, saying:
Star Trek Into Darkness comes three years after J.J. Abrams' successful movie Star Trek. Star Trek Into Darkness will see the crew of the Enterprise pitted against a force of terror from within.
