The Hangover III – subtitled Memorial Day – will be the last time ‘the wolf pack’ embarks on a perilous amnesiac adventure together, according to the the newly released poster for “The epic finale to The Hangover trilogy.”

The promo sees Zach Galifianakis and Ken Jeong – aka Alan and Mr Chow – facing off in front of a burning Las Vegas in a take-off of the poster for the final Harry Potter film (see below), which sees the boy wizard clashing with his nemesis Voldemort alongside the tagline “It All Ends”.

So now we know that the band of misfits (also including best actor Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha) will be heading back to where it all began in the original movie. But what else can we glean?

Well, there’s no stag party or wedding this time around. And no fixed location. Rumour has it Phil, Doug and Stu hit the road to break Alan out of some kind of institution. John Goodman is set to be the film’s antihero, comedy queen Melissa McCarthy is rumoured to be starring and Heather Graham will reprise her role as Jade the stripper.

Until we’re treated to the first trailer, the rest of the film is a bit up in the air – but it’s safe to assume The Hangover III will contain frequent strong language, scenes of a sexual nature, violence, nudity, drug taking and, of course, excessive drinking…

The first Hangover film, which hit cinemas in 2009, broke worldwide box office records and was followed by a successful seqeul in 2011.
