Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Ben Kingsley star in a new trailer for the upcoming Iron Man 3 film.

Set to a dramatic soundtrack, the teaser starts off with Robert Downey Jr saying, "I'm Tony Stark. I build neat stuff, I've got a great girl and occasionally I save the world" - but things soon take a turn for the worse.

When terrorist force The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) starts attacking the US, Tony Stark keeps his distance but the choice is taken out of his hands when The Mandarin comes after him with the words: "I'm going to offer a choice. Do you want an empty life or a meaningful death?"

As the trailer goes on to reveal that love interest Pepper Pots (Paltrow) is in danger, Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, tells a group of reporters: "No politics here. Just good, old-fashioned revenge."

The third trailer suggests Iron Man 3 could be the darkest instalment of the franchise yet.

Shane Black's Iron Man 3 also stars Rebecca Hall, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce and Jon Favreau.  

Iron Man 3 will be in UK cinemas on 26 April 2013.
