Harrison Ford has signed up for a part in the upcoming sequel to 2004 cult comedy movie Anchorman: the Legend of Ron Burgundy.
The Indiana Jones superstar will appear opposite Will Ferrell as a "legendary newscaster" in the mould of former NBC Nightly News presenter Tom Brokaw, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Ford has played a comedy anchorman before, in 2010 movie Morning Glory (which, coincidentally, was produced by JJ Abrams who will direct the upcoming seventh Star Wars movie in which Ford is hotly tipped to repise the role of Han Solo).
As well as original Anchorman cast members Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and Steve Carell, Anchorman 2 – aka Anchorman: the Legend Continues – will feature Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig and X-Men actor James Marsden.
