The sun has set on your popstar heyday and your multiple attempts to reunite have sadly fallen on deaf ears. You've even had a crack at Eurovision to kickstart your comeback but, alas, you narrowly missed out on nil points. What next? Well, luckily there are people out there who can help you through this tough time: ITV2's The Big Reunion, of course. And now they have a new set of hopefuls determined to rediscover the dizzy heights of their fame... pop boy band Blue.
The news was revealed this morning on ITV's Lorraine that Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe, Duncan James and Antony Costa will be appearing in the eight-part reality series, which follows defunct pop groups as they reform and rehearse ahead of a one-off gig.
ITV first announced yesterday that a seventh band would be joining the line-up...
Blue tasted their first success back in 2001 with top five hit All Rise, and went on to enjoy three number one singles before splitting in 2005. In 2011 they represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest with their entry, I Can, finishing in eleventh place. They have recently released new album Roulette in South Africa, Latin America and various European countries.
The quartet will join B*Witched, 5ive, Liberty X, 911, Atomic Kitten and The Honeyz, who have spent the first four instalments airing their dirty laundry and settling their differences before embarking on the comeback trail.
