Rita Ora turned down an offer to become a full-time judge on the new series of The X Factor.

The 22-year-old admits “there were talks” in the past few months, but despite having appeared as a guest judge last year, she was not willing to commit to the ITV talent show for a full series.

“If I were to take on that role it would have to be at a point when I could give it my full attention,” Ora told the Mirror

“I have so much to accomplish first and it’s kind of a full-time job being on X Factor.

"It’s not like a nine to five. It’s constant, for months.”

However, the singer admitted that she will “never say never” to the idea of being a regular part of Simon Cowell's talent show.

“Not that I have anything against it… I love it but if I was to take on a full-time role it would be at a point when I’m loads of albums in.”

Rita Ora is currently touring after the success of her debut album Ora, which produced three number one UK singles in 2012; Hot Right Now, How We Do (Party) and R.I.P.  She is nominated for three Brit Awards at the 2013 ceremony, including best breakthrough act.

As Syco and ITV have a contract until the end of 2013, The X Factor will likely return in autumn 2013, although at present no judges have been confirmed for series ten.
