This week, at the Radio Times covers party, two giants of TV science came together to share their mutual admiration, a glass of champagne and a photo booth.

On stage to collect his latest framed RT cover, Sir David Attenborough told the audience "If I had a torch I would hand it to Brian Cox", while later on Professor Cox, quite understandably, proclaimed himself "lost for words".

Thankfully, a picture can speak a thousand of those and we captured some stunning portraits of both men – see the results below.
