They say blonds have more fun but judging by this first shot of Benedict Cumberbatch as WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange (and knowing the direction Assange's life took) that may not always be the case.
Sherlock star Cumberbatch – who also appears as villain John Harrison in JJ Abrams' upcoming Star Trek sequel Into Darkness – has a fervent female following but it's possible even the most die hard Cumberbitch will think twice before pinning this photo to her bedroom wall.
Then again, Cumberbatch does look strikingly like Assange in this first still from biopic The Fifth Estate, and that's the important thing, right?
Shooting began today on the DreamWorks Studios production about the controversial whisteblowing website WikiLeaks, which also stars Daniel Brühl (pictured alongside Cumberbatch) as Assange's colleague Daniel Domscheit-Berg, Laura Linney, Anthony Mackie, Carice van Houten, Alicia Vikander and British stars including David Thewlis, The Thick of It's Peter Capaldi and Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens.
The Fifth Estate is due in US cinemas on 15 November, with a UK release date yet to be confirmed.
