Sky Atlantic is welcoming US drama Vegas to the channel in February.

Based on a true story, Vegas is created by Without a Trace producer Greg Walker and Nicholas Pileggi, who wrote Goodfellas.

Set as Sin City is emerging as the heart of America's gambling and entertainment world, the thrilling show sees new faces arrive in town bringing with them corruption and crime.

Dennis Quaid stars as Ralph Lamb, a fourth-generation ranch owner tasked with bringing order back to Las Vegas. The ex-cop is persuaded to reprise his role as a law enforcer when a casino worker is found murdered. Michael Chiklis plays Vincent Savino, a wealthy Chicago gangster with plans to take control of the city.

As Lamb sets about battling the gambling mecca's criminal underworld, the pair go head to head in a battle for Vegas.
