Is Kirsty (Kierston Wareing) about to grow sick of being cast aside by her husband Max (Jake Wood)?
In a forthcoming episode, an emotional Tanya (Jo Joyner) will be seen insisting that the Brannings are “falling apart” as a family thanks to Kirsty’s continual presence in Albert Square. Her tearful realisation comes after Max’s wife refuses to sign the petition for divorce, even going so far as to scrawl “NEVER” in red lipstick across the covering letter.
Despite Max’s reassurances that they can whether the storm, the atmosphere at No 5 remains strained. Later, Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) seeks out Kirsty at the B&B and begs her to leave town and to stop destroying her family: “This ain’t your home and it’s never gonna be,” insists the teenager.
Feeling increasingly like an outsider, Kirsty finally comes to the conclusion that she should sign the divorce papers and set Max free. Telling him that she’s reconsidered her decision because she loves him and doesn’t want to hurt him, Kirsty then orders a taxi to take her away from Walford. But will Max stop her as the cab picks her up and pulls away from the bed and breakfast?
