30 Years of CITV: What's your favourite show?

This weekend CITV are celebrating their 30th birthday by doing something quite special, dedicating the channel to Britain's favourite pastime... nostalgia.

That's right, it's time to pull out the Panini sticker album, whack on a Pop Tart and shout "You've Been Tangoed" because for two whole days you're invited to enter a total immersion childhood environment.

A world where big-haired Pat Sharp presents Fun House, "a real whacky show where anything will go", and Virtual Reality is pushed to its very early 90s limits in the digital quest for crap prizes that is Knightmare.  A place where no one blinks an eye at a boy turning into a dog (and then a naked boy again) in Woof! and the idea of two creepy ragdolls like Rosie and Jim not only living on a barge together - but being televised - is acceptable.

Yes, the past was a strange time, but we loved it.  Animated ducks became minor European royalty, and the elderly were given superpowers.  For some reason we gave the time of day to a talking Hippo called George and his friend Zippy, and forget Ibiza, Button Moon was everyone's favourite holiday destination.

But with such a choice collection of televisual treats to choose from, could one CITV show really be better than all the others?  Well, that is a decision that we want you to try and make.

Below, you’ll find the schedule for this weekend’s programmes (you’re welcome), and a poll inviting you to nail your colours to the mast in this essential scientific poll.  Please note you are voting on the best show on TV this weekend (we know that some classics are not being screened for rights reasons - feel free to mention them in the comments).

Who will emerge victorious to be awarded a £5 record token and a can of Tab Clear… that, as they say… is up to you…

Happy voting!
