Coronation Street: Marc Baylis hints at Rob and Tracy romance – “That’s an interesting combination”

But the actor suggests that the true object of Rob's affection is still Michelle Connor

Marc Baylis, who plays knicker boss Rob Donovan on Coronation Street, has hinted that his character is set to become involved with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).

When asked about who Rob will be romantically pursuing in forthcoming plotlines, the actor commented:

“Watch this space – interestingly, Tracy Barlow comes onto his radar. That is an interesting combination. Without a doubt, he sees something of himself in Tracy and finds her intriguing!”

Rob, who was introduced as the ex-jailbird brother of Carla Connor (Alison King) in July 2012, has previously been involved with factory worker Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), although in recent months he has been seen making an advance towards Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh), the current girlfriend of Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).

When quizzed about the state of Rob’s love life since his break-up with Eva, the actor added: “He’s doing the usual things. He’s always having a bit of fun and a good time. He’s making up for those years in prison, but ideally he would like it to be Michelle. We all know how he feels.”
