Carols from King's - 6:15pm, BBC2

A traditional and tranquil celebration of the beginning of Christmas. The specially recorded service from King's College Chapel in Cambridge has been broadcast since 1928. The story of the nativity will be told via readings from the King James Bible, and the choristers will flawlessly perform traditional carols like Once in Royal David's City and In the Bleak Midwinter.

The heart-meltingly charming sequel to Christmas favourite The Snowman. A boy makes a snowman and a snowdog who magically come to life and take him on a wonderful adventure. So good it's gracing the front cover of the Radio Times Christmas issue this year...
