Lassie Come Home – 11.00am, Film4

The unsurpassable collie takes to the road to find her way back to her master, Roddy McDowall. Essential weepy, also starring a youthful Elizabeth Taylor.

Cool Runnings – 2.55pm, BBC1

Based on the true story of the first ever Jamaican bobsleigh team entering the Olympics, this is a heart warming comedy that will have you cheering on the underdogs.

Twins – 4.05pm, ITV1

Dim-witted fraudster Danny DeVito finds an unlikely brother in smart but naïve Arnold Schwarzenegger. The two come together in hilarious misadventure.

Night at the Museum – 6.55pm, C4

Ben Stiller stars as a likable down-and-out, who takes on the role of caretaker as the museum. On his first night in the job, however, he realizes the work is not quite what he is expecting.

The Incredible Hulk – 9.00pm, ITV2

Edward Norton brings the Marvel comic hero to life in this sci-fi action adventure.

In Bruges – 11.00pm, C4

This violent, foul-mouthed and politically incorrect British gangster movie sees two hit men played by Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson hiding out in Belgium city Bruges. Ralph Fiennes is magnificent as their absurd boss.

Superbad – 11.00pm, C5

Superior teen movie starring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera as unpopular kids trying to get laid by buying booze. It’s crude and silly but slick enough to ensure a good few belly laughs.
