When you see the words Ryan Gosling the image you naturally conjure up is likely to be the Hollywood poster boy who had female fans swooning over his performances in last year's box office hits Drive, Crazy Stupid Love and The Ides of March. What you do not imagine is the poster below...

But Ryan has allowed his famous face to appear battered and bruised for his latest crime thriller Only God Forgives, co-starring British actress Kristin Scott Thomas. Gosling stars as Julian - a criminal living in exile in Bangkok after killing a policeman. He runs a drugs smuggling business with his mother Jenna who lives back in Florida, but fronts a Thai boxing club with his brother as a cover for his family's illegal activities. 

But when his brother is murdered, Jenna instructs him to find and kill the individual responsible. And by the look of the film's poster, the hunt for the culprit is far from an easy ride...
