The first series of the Golden Globe nominated drama was set in the foundling years of the BBC, against the political tensions of the age – and with a female producer to boot.
Now, it’s November 1957 and a year has passed since the end of the last series. Since the explosive last episode, Hector has been enjoying life as a new national celebrity, Freddie has disappeared to travel the world and Bel has fought to stay at the BBC.
Plenty of new faces appear – from Hector’s new love interest Kiki, played by Hannah Tointon, to Bel’s new head of news, played by The Thick of It star Peter Capaldi.
But what dramas will the next series have in store…?
