Gangnam Style rapper Psy addresses the Oxford Union – video

Listen to the South Korean pop sensation's speech and watch him teach his cult dance to university students

We’ve already had Eton Style, but yesterday Gangnam Style rapper Psy made the trip to Oxford University to deliver a speech at their illustrious student union.

Speaking about his experiences after his music video Gangnam Style went viral earlier this year, Psy (real name Park Jae-sang) revealed: “With the Gangnam style I’m living in a dream and I’m living in a nightmare.

“Making a speech at the Oxford Union is a dream, but I’ve got to beat Gangnam Style: I’ve got to beat 70 million views, I’ve got to beat the horse-riding dance and I’ve got to beat the music video – toilet scenes, elevator scenes – how can I beat that elevator scene? It’s so nasty, right?”

And if you thought a bunch of Oxford students dressed in suits and gowns to hear his address were unlikely candidates for the cowboy-inspired jig, you were wrong. For a mass rehearsal of that dance in the history-steeped halls of the prestigious university, check out the video below:
