Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh has revealed she is undergoing physiotherapy for a knee problem, in the hope she will still be able to perform on Saturday night's Strictly.
The 30-year-old has gone from strength to strength since the start of the competition, wowing the judges during Strictly's Halloween special last week - but is now thought to be suffering from a condition called iliotibial band syndrome, which often affects runners.
On Monday, the star tweeted:
But she revealed the extent of her injuries at last night's Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year event, saying: "I'm getting physio every day and I'm crossing everything that I'll be able to salsa this weekend, so fingers crossed."
Kimberley's injury is the latest in a long line of mishaps to befall this year's Strictly contestants and professional dancers. Since the start of the series Aliona Vilani has damaged her ankle, James Jordan has broken his nose and Denise Van Outen has suffered from whiplash. While Aliona had to leave the competition, James and Denise have managed to carry on performing - let's hope Kimberley manages to get back in shape in time for Saturday's show.
