Thought you’d never hear Kerry Katona sing again? You were wrong… ITV2 has announced plans to reform a series of popular 90s bands, including the original Atomic Kitten, for new show The Big Reunion.

Chart toppers 5ive, B*Witched, Liberty X, 911 and Honeyz will also take part in the new series, set to broadcast in 2013.

Eight hour-long episodes will focus on the bands as they reform for two weeks of intense rehearsals, prior to hitting the stage to perform as a group for the first time since they split.

Executive producer of The Big Reunion, Michael Kelpie, said: “To reunite these bands, tell the stories of what has happened to them since their heydays and follow them as they prepare to step back on the stage for the first time in a decade is a dream come true.”

Director of digital channels, Angela Jain, added: “A lot has happened in the time these bands have been apart; marriages, divorces and changes in career. And who knows quite what will happen when they reunite.”

And if you’re after a reminder of the clashing denim, spiky gelled hair and cheesy hits that defined the 90s, RadioTimes.com is happy to oblige…
