The latest trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained hints at a film that’s going to be stylish, cool and, somewhat surprisingly for a movie about slavery, rather funny too.

Starring Jamie Foxx in the title role, Django Unchained is a western which tells the tale of a freed slave’s journey across America to rescue to wife from the hands of a ruthless plantation owner.

In the new trailer Django can be seen teaming up with Dr. King Schultz (Christopher Waltz) and setting off on his journey.

Along the way, the trailer also showcases turns by Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L Jackson and Jonah Hill, who plays an inept member of the Ku Klux Klan:

Django Unchained is slated to be released on Christmas Day in the United States and on Friday 18 January 2013 here in the UK.

If you missed the film's first trailer back in June, you can watch it here.
