Bio: Single-mum Jade worked as a bike mechanic before making a bid for stardom on The X Factor. Her powerful voice astonished judges during her auditions, but she faltered slightly during the judges' houses competition in St Lucia.
Her rendition of Ben E King's Stand By Me prompted criticism from Tulisa, who said that Ellis "didn't have the strongest vocal."
However, because of her outstanding progress earlier in the competition, the former N-Dubz singer still elected to take Ellis through to the finals. She said: "It’s such a strong category this year, but I believe in you."

What we said: "Jade Ellis got past the much improved Jade Collins, perhaps due to a clerical error." (week seven, judges' houses)
RT predicts: Nice in interviews, but probably doesn't have a strong enough look or sound to get very far. 11th
