Jack Seale and Tom Cole

Ages: 17-19

From: Dan, Wales; Greg, Essex; Michael, Cleethorpes

Category: Groups

Mentor: Louis Walsh

Bio: This boy band of three friends narrowly edged into the judges' houses stage ahead of Triple (now Union) J after an impromptu sing-off between the two groups.

They'd been performing together since 2010 as GMD3, but took to Twitter to solicit suggestions for new names from fans, fearing that their old moniker sounded a little too much like GMTV...

What we said: "GMD3's frantic faux-American emoting hinted that, when they do eventually have sex, they'll cry afterwards. Britain won't stand for their nonsense week on week." (week seven, judges' houses)

RT predicts: Good vocals, but a bit too nerdy and precious to be a big boy band. Voters who like this sort of thing will surely go for Union J instead... unless their name change sparks a Little Mix-style slow burn? 9th
