Adele’s theme tune to the new Bond film Skyfall is due to be unveiled at 0:07am this Friday to mark the 50th anniversary of Bond. But a 90-second preview clip has already been released online.
The song, which was co-written and produced by Paul Epworth (the man who worked on Adele’s international hit Rolling in the Deep), contains the lyrics “Let the sky fall/ When it crumbles/ We will stand tall/ And face it all together.”
The full song will be available to download on iTunes from Friday 5 October.
Talking to The Official James Bond website, Adele admitted that “I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for Skyfall.” But she soon changed her mind, adding: “It was one of the proudest moments of my life. I’ll be back combing my hair when I’m 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I’m sure!”
While Adele’s involvement in the new Bond film was only confirmed yesterday, Twitter is already awash with fans sharing their opinions…
Adele's Skyfall is full old-school Bond. Whilst listening to it, I shall mix a martini, wear a tux, and use a pretty girl as a human shield.
