Kramer vs Kramer – 6:15pm, Sky Movies Modern Greats

Multi Oscar-winning drama starring Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep. Ted Kramer develops a strong bond with his son Justin after his wife walks out on them, but her return to claim sole custody of the child brings the union between father and son under threat.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall – 9:00pm, ITV2

The team behind The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up turn to Russell Brand to helm this romantic comedy about musician Peter (Jason Segel) who goes on holiday after being dumped by his girlfriend Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell) only to find her staying in the same hotel with her new boyfriend.

Ocean’s Eleven – 9:00pm, TCM

Star-studded crime caper featuring Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts. Newly-released crook Danny Ocean assembles a team of criminals to execute his latest heist – the robbery of his love rival and Las Vegas hotel owner Terry Benedict, played by Andy Garcia.

Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead – 11:05pm, Film4

New York-set thriller starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke and Marisa Tomei. When the train robbery of a jewellery shop goes fatally wrong, brothers Andy and Hank Hanson face retribution from the police... and their father (Albert Finney).

Outrageous Fortune – 12:05am, BBC1

Bette Midler stars in this action comedy about two drama students who discover they have the same two-timing boyfriend, Michael Sanchez – who mysteriously disappears following an explosion in a flower shop.

To Kill a King – 1:20am, Film4

Historical drama set at the end of the English Civil War. Roundhead Sir Thomas Fairfax (Dougray Scott) and his deputy, Oliver Cromwell (Tim Roth), face the difficult decision of what to do with captured King Charles I, played by a haughty Rupert Everett.
