Take Me Out presenter Paddy McGuinness has been signed up to host Hotel GB, Channel 4’s latest reality project in which a group of celebrities will manage a hotel in an attempt to raise money for charity and provide unemployed youngsters with marketable job skills.

The former Phoenix Nights actor will present two live episodes of the series, the launch on Monday 1 October and the final show on Friday 5 October, guiding viewers through all the action at the hotel as it unfolds.

In the live final on Friday, Paddy will reveal which of the hotel’s teams has raised the most money for charity and which of Hotel GB's trainee staff have managed to secure jobs.

Paddy said: "I've stayed in a fair few hotels in my time on the road and I know good hospitality when I see it. The celebrities and trainees need to be on their toes.

“Whether it's a fly in the soup, or a suspiciously curly hair in the sink, they will have to tend to our guests' every need. I can't wait to bring you all the action live and direct from Hotel GB."

Hotel GB sees celebrities including Gordon Ramsay, Mary Portas, Gok Wan and Hilary Devey take over the running of a hotel to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust and Springboard charities. Watch a trailer for the series here.

Hotel GB will air nightly at 9:00pm on Channel 4 between Monday 1 and Friday 5 October.
