Matt LeBlanc is set to reunite with Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan before long for a third series of the sitcom Episodes.
The show’s co-producers, US cable network Showtime and the BBC, have ordered a new nine episode run of the comedy, in which former Friends star LeBlanc plays a fictionalised version of himself.
Mangan and Greig star opposite the erstwhile Joey Tribbiani as a married couple of TV writers, who decamp to the States to oversee the production of a horribly re-worked version of a show they penned.
Earlier this year, LeBlanc told us that he relishes making Episodes. “It’s perfect for me,” he said. “It’s three months a year. And my character, well, I don’t really have to work hard on that.”
While not an enormous ratings-winner, Episodes has become popular with critics since its second series aired, and LeBlanc won a Golden Globe in 2012 for his performance in the sitcom.
The show’s third series is due to go into production in London and Los Angeles next year.
