Get Carter – 9.00pm, ITV4


Classic crime drama starring Michael Caine as tough London gangster Jack Carter, who travels to Newcastle when his brother dies.

Top Gun – 9.00pm, Film4

Film4’s night of movies directed by Tony Scott, who died last month, begins with his classic Tom Cruise blockbuster about a group of pilots in air combat training. 

We Need to Talk About Kevin – 10.00pm, Sky Movies Indie

Outstanding adaptation of Lionel Shriver’s bestselling novel starring Tilda Swinton. A mother fails to find a loving bond with her son and, as he gets older, his behaviour becomes increasingly disturbing. 

Domino – 11.10pm, Film4

Action thriller about a young woman who decides to put her privileged life behind her to become a bounty hunter. Directed by Tony Scott and starring Keira Knightley. 

Gone Baby Gone – 11.30pm, BBC1

Gripping mystery drama directed by Ben Affleck and starring his brother, Casey. The disappearance of a four-year-old girl leads to a private investigator uncovering shocking crimes.

Loving Memory – 1.35am, Film4


Rosamund Greenwood stars in this drama from 1971 about two siblings who live on the Yorkshire moors. Directorial debut of Tony Scott.
