Great Expectations won't be released in UK cinemas until 30 November, but you don't need to wait until then to get a taste of the new adaptation.
This atmospheric clip is our first glimpse of Charles Dickens' famous orphan Pip, played by War Horse star Jeremy Irvine, and creepy criminal Magwitch, who is played by Ralph Fiennes. The gripping video is from the scene where Magwitch and Pip meet again years after their paths originally crossed.
The film, which also stars Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Havisham and Holliday Grainger as Estella, is directed by Four Weddings and a Funeral director Mike Newell and has been adapted by One Day author David Nicholls.
Director Mike Newell said of Great Expectations: "I've tried to make a film that is true to the theatrical vividness, energetic characters and high colour that he is loved for, while mining the deep seams of emotional cruelty and madness that underlie one of Dickens' darkest-shadowed stories."
