The brand new series of Fifth Gear starts tonight on Discovery Channel, and to get you in the mood, here are some clips of the motor-fun to come. The show, which began on Channel 5 in 2002, continues in its new and exclusive slot on Discovery. Hosts Tiff Needell, Vicki Butler-Henderson, Jason Plato and Jonny Smith are all back and, judging by these clips, very excited.

Clip 1: Vicki Butler-Henderson attempts to make a GTR go further in one hour than “any road car has ever gone before”. And it’s 4:53AM, poor woman. No rest for the engine-obsessed.

Clip 2: Two men, a vehicle and a very bumpy road. And they’re trying to beat the clock.

Clip 3: The team see how good they are at flying a VW Beatle. They’ll do anything to get on TV, this lot.
