Comedy drama starring a young Lindsay Lohan in a dual role as identical twins separated at birth, who meet accidentally and plot to reunite their divorced parents by switching places. The late Natasha Richardson stars as their British fashion designer mother, whilst Dennis Quaid plays their Californian Dad. 

Beauty and the Beast – 6:20pm, Channel 5

Disney animated fantasy in which bookish Belle (voiced by Paige O’Hara) offers to be confined with a dangerous beast in the place of her father, but discovers that there is more to the creature than first meets the eye.

Despicable Me – 8:00pm, Sky Movies Family

Animated comedy in which an infamous villain adopts three orphaned girls, intending to involve them in his plan to steal the moon. But as he spends more time with the children, he finds his criminal tendencies somewhat diminished. Starring the voices of Russell Brand, Steve Carell, Jason Segel and Julie Andrews.

Cold Comfort Farm – 9:00pm, Yesterday

Star-studded period comedy based on the novel by Stella Gibbons. An orphaned woman (Kate Beckinsale) lands herself with a bunch of eccentric relatives on their dilapidated farm and sets about the thankless task of civilising them. Also starring Stephen Fry, Ian McKellen, Rufus Sewell and Joanna Lumley.

Atonement – 9:00pm, ITV3

Romantic period drama set in 1935 and starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy sees Cecilia Tallis’s life torn apart by her meddling younger sister, who accuses her lover – Robbie Turner – of a crime he did not commit.

Tomorrow Never Dies – 10:15pm, ITV1


Spy adventure showing as part of the ‘Bond 007 at 50 season’ on ITV1. Pierce Brosnan’s second appearance as the secret agent sees him attempt to foil a media fiend’s scheme to spark a war between the UK and China.
