Judging by the amount of money it made at the box office, chances are you’re one of the legions of cinemagoers who saw Avengers Assemble earlier this year.
The film, which brought together such classic Marvel characters as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and The Hulk and pitted them against the evil Loki and his army, was popular with critics and the public alike, and currently boasts a 93% "fresh" rating on review aggregator RottenTomatoes.com
But while the film itself is a slick and intense example of superhero cinema, judging by this newly-released four and a half minute blooper reel, the cast had a lot of laughs while making it.
So if you’ve ever wanted to see the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Hemsworth larking about on set or Tom Hiddleston impersonating Alan Rickman, now’s your chance:
You’ll be able to get hold of a hard copy of the gag reel next month when it appears on the DVD and Blu-ray releases of Marvel’s big-budget superhero ensemble.
As well as the gag reel, the home releases of the movie will also contain a short spin-off film, Item 47, which was first glimpsed in a trailer released last month.
Plans are already underway for a follow-up Avengers movie, which will be directed by Joss Whedon and is scheduled for release in May 2015.
