Toy Story 3 – 8:00pm, Sky Premiere

In this third instalment of the comedy adventure franchise from Pixar, Andy is heading to college so Woody (Tom Hanks) and the rest of the toys are bundled off to a day-care centre, from where they attempt a great escape.

Mission: Impossible – 9:00pm, Film4

The first big-screen outing for Tom Cruise's superspy Ethan Hunt. Accused of treachery, Hunt is forced to go on the run - but it's more about the stunts, special effects and set pieces than the plot.

Something’s Gotta Give – 10:45pm, ITV2

Jack Nicholson stars in this romantic comedy drama as an ageing lothario who falls for his girlfriend’s mother as she nurses him back to health after a heart attack.

Jackie Brown – 11:10pm, Film4

Crime drama directed by Quentin Tarantino, starring Pam Grier as Jackie Brown, an air stewardess who is arrested for smuggling money and drugs into the US for a local arms dealer, and plays the criminals and police off against each other.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery – 11:25pm, Channel 5

Spy spoof adventure in which British super-agent, Austin Powers (Mike Myers), cryogenically preserved since the 1960s, emerges to do battle with his nemesis, Doctor Evil, who is threatening world domination.

Raising Helen – 12:20am, BBC1

Romantic comedy drama starring Kate Hudson as a young woman catapulted to motherhood following the death of her sister. Caring for three youngsters proves an obstacle to her glamorous Manhattan lifestyle and she is forced to choose between professional fulfilment and family.
