If you've seen your fair share of detective dramas and enjoy a good laugh, you're sure to get a few chuckles out of this trailer for A Touch of Cloth, Charlie Brooker's note-perfect lampoon of TV cop shows.

John Hannah and Suranne Jones star as DI Jack Cloth and DC Anne Oldman (he's a veteran cop who doesn't play by the rules; she's a smart, modern woman in a man's world) who team up in an effort to get to the bottom of a murder case.

The trailer's chock-full of visual gags (note the title of the book in the bath), cliché-bating, absurdity and cracking performances. Even if you've only ever been exposed to the odd episode or two of, say, Trial & Retribution, there's still plenty here to chortle at.

Billed by Brooker and co-writer Daniel Maier as "a spoof of every British crime drama made in the last decade," A Touch of Cloth starts later this month on Sky1.
