When director Ang Lee took on Yann Martel's Man Booker Prize winner Life of Pi, many were dubious that anyone could film the "unfilmable" novel about a boy and a Bengal tiger adrift on a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Judging by the first trailer, released today, they were wrong...

20th Century's Fox's attempts to combine "the visual FX of Titanic" with "the creative 3D revolution of Avatar" and "the emotional CG character work of Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes" looks to have paid off (although, granted, we're not watching in 3D).
