Doris Day stars in this musical comedy western as spirited cowgirl Calamity Jane, who soon regrets bringing a glamorous singing star to the Deadwood salon when she turns into a love rival.

Sister Act – 7:00pm, Channel 4

Whoopi Goldberg takes the lead role as Deloris Van Cartier, a cabaret singer who is sent to hide in a San Francisco convent after her gangster boyfriend’s criminal activity leaves her a marked woman. 

Parenthood – 8:00pm, ITV3

Anxious family man Gil Buckman (Steve Martin) is the elder son of a family fathered by grouchy Frank (Jason Robards) – Martin’s comic genius scores top honours, supported by an excellent cast including Keanu Reeves, Mary Steenburgen and Dianne Wiest.

Limitless – 9:00pm, Sky Movies Crime & Thriller

Bradley Cooper is struggling writer Eddie Morra who acquires a supply of an experimental drug that enables his brain to process information at a superhuman rate, but his newfound abilities soon attract unwanted attention.

The Full Monty – 9:00pm, E4

Classic British comedy starring Robert Carlyle and Mark Addy as unemployed Sheffield steelworkers who form a strip act in an attempt to restore their fortunes.

The Young Victoria – 9:00pm, BBC2
